BT stands for Body Transformation and that is exactly what we want to help you do – transform your body. Whether it be to lose weight, get stronger, rehabilitate your body, or just lead a healthy lifestyle, we are here to help you reach your fitness goals and potential. By combining years of experience in fitness and athletics, we have discovered the most effective methods from multiple fitness disciplines and have transformed them to give you workouts that will produce the greatest results. We created BT Fitness with the goal of giving you access to personalized instruction on the most innovative equipment available that is generally not found in a traditional gym or fitness studio. We fully believe that if you transform your fitness, you will transform your body and we at BT Fitness want to help you do just that.
In observing the various disciplines in the fitness industry, we have noticed that the world of therapeutic exercise and the world of strength and conditioning have always been viewed at opposite ends of the fitness spectrum. Both worlds very rarely cross paths yet what most people do not realize is that they both strive to improve body function and efficiency. We at BT Fitness are combining these two worlds because we recognize that in order to achieve your optimal fitness potential, you need to integrate the performance aspects of strength and conditioning and the regenerative and body awareness aspects of therapeutic exercise. The goal of our classes is to bridge the gap between these two worlds, which will ultimately offer you the most well-rounded fitness program available.
OWNER BIOS
Kimberly has a story that begins in New Jersey where she had an extremely active childhood and participated in softball and cheerleading. She continued with competitive cheerleading throughout high school and earned various accolades enabling her to travel internationally. Like most people, once she got to college she struggled to find an outlet for maintaining her fitness. After graduating, she took a position working for an international corporation, which unfortunately led her further into a sedentary lifestyle. Two years and 30 pounds later, Kimberly found herself realizing that she needed a change.
After experimenting with different types of yoga, high intensity aerobic classes, and various gym memberships, Kimberly had yet to see results. Finally, in 2008, while living in Los Angeles, she was introduced to Lagree Fitness. Within the next year, Kimberly was able to lose the 30 pounds and drop three pant sizes by taking Lagree Fitness group classes. In an effort to reach the next level in transforming her body, she also began receiving private instruction on the Proformer to complement the group classes. With this, she developed a fascination with the Lagree Fitness system and became a Certified Lagree Fitness Instructor under the direction of Sebastien Lagree, creator of Lagree Fitness and the Proformer.
Kimberly has received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge and her Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. Since graduating law school, she has realized that her true passion was to open her own studio that delivers a workout that has proven results to allow people to gain the body that they ultimately want. She is looking forward to bringing this unique approach of fitness to the active community of San Clemente.
Adam started his athletic experience at a very young age and has been competitive in basketball, baseball, golf, swimming, and track. Adam was introduced to the world of strength and conditioning at age 15 and almost immediately found a passion for understanding the ability to improve the body’s performance capabilities. Throughout his teen years, he struggled with being underweight compared to his peers. He knew that in order to stay competitive as an athlete he needed to transform his body in the healthiest and safest way possible. Since then, Adam has strived to understand the physical, nutritional, and psychological components of training in order to achieve his physical potential.
Adam has received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from California State University, Northridge. After graduation, he received his first certification through the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI). He is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). In addition, he is a Certified Kettlebell Instructor, Certified Olympic Weightlifting Instructor and completed extensive course work in training pre and post natal women and special populations.
Before opening BT Fitness, Adam was recognized as a Master Instructor and one of the top trainers in the country at Equionx Fitness Corp. while working in Palos Verdes, CA. He is excited to now be training out of San Clemente, CA, a place he has dreamed of living since he was young.
